It seems to be just as strong as previous models in the range, with minimal flex in the body. LG calls it a “glass design”, although it isn’t actually made of glass. It isn’t made of the standard magnesium shell many other laptops are, though, which is how it achieves the light weight.
That keyboard deck is also another highlight here. At first glance, it looks like there’s nothing below the keyboard, but drag your finger across the surface and two LED lines light up to indicate the boundaries of the trackpad. We’re seeing more and more of these types of trackpads on laptops this year, and they generally help companies get them thinner.
All models in the range now feature anti-glare OLED screens. While it is good for working outside or in direct sunlight indoors, it does detract from the quality of that beautiful display. The finish of the laptop is an iridescent cover that can actually change colour as the light hits it at different angles, and does look lovely.
