The first trailer for the new season of The Mandalorian was released back in September, and Disney initially planned to launch it earlier in the new year. The trailer was shown at D23 Expo, which shows Grogu (formerly known as baby Yoda on the internet) and Mando (or Din Djarin) reunited. At the end of season 2, Grogu left the show’s main characters with Luke Skywalker to get trained at the Jefi Temple restarted by Luke.
The trailer also gives us a glimpse of Mando dealing with the consequences of removing his helmet and showing his face to other people, which is a huge no-no for members of his religious sect.
It isn’t very clear why there is such a big gap since the launch of season two. It will be more than two years since the second season was released once we get to March 1st.
