Lawrence is currently shooting the latest film in the Hunger Games film series, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. This means the BioShock filming will only commence once shooting for that film wraps up.
It appears that the film will be an adaptation of the first video game. In the Netflix announcement they outlined a few basics of the original BioShock and says that Lawrence will “strap into a Big Daddy suit and get ready to brave the flooded corridors of Rapture soon enough.”
