Motorola teases a new phone with a 200-megapixel camera

If you happen to miss the heydays of the past decade where device manufacturers waged war to cram the highest megapixel sensor in any phone they could, you’re in luck! Motorola has teased that it will reach new heights with a forthcoming device that will carry a 200-megapixel camera.

In what appears (at present) to be a forthcoming phone that’ll be China-exclusive, Motorola has issued a Weibo post detailing what appears to be a foldable phone with a 200-megapixel camera.

According to rumour, the device carries the internal codename ‘Frontier’, and will leverage a Samsung-made 200-megapixel camera with a 50-megapixel ultrawide, a 12-megapixel telephoto, and a 60-megapixel selfie camera.

There remains some speculation that the device could be a third-generation Razr, and has been designed to the marque’s new-generation flagship.

It remains to be seen when the device will be fully announced – though if the device is in fact Razr’s forthcoming flagship, we may expect to see it in full glory before the end of the year.
