The POCO M4 Pro 5G has a MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G chipset, the flagship MediaTek SoC from 2021, trying to take on the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets. MediaTek has said that its incoming Dimensity 9000 chipset will be on the same performance level as the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, but this still needs to be confirmed after launch. It also launches with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

It is capable of charging its 5,000mAh battery with fast-charging 33W bricks, the fastest charging device that POCO has ever launched. According to the company, the battery lasts for 12 hours of gaming, 16 hours of video playback, 33 hours of reading, or 179 hours of music.

The POCO M4 Pro 5G has an interesting camera setup. Its main camera is a 50MP unit, accompanied by a 16MP wide-angle sensor. The design would lead you to believe that it has more cameras on the back, but those are other sensors to help the camera setup perform as well as possible. It would’ve been nice to have a telephoto lens of some kind, but at the price point it isn’t a massive loss. The M4 Pro costs about R5,000.
