Leakers have made it impossible for Samsung to keep any kind of mystery ahead of its Samsung Galaxy S20 launch event. We have had numerous leaks about the phone range itself, and now we get confirmation of the Galaxy Buds+ as well.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds+ are going to launch alongside the new flagship smartphone range. They differ to the regular Galaxy Buds (presumably) the same way the AirPods Pro differ from the standard AirPods. We expect them to include active noise cancelling technology, a better design and fit and perhaps slightly better sound performance.
All these devices will be launched on February 11th, but the only device that still has some secrecy about it is the foldable Galaxy Z Flip that will also be launched simultaneously.
These new images come to us from the notorious tech leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) and seem to be official marketing material Samsung will be using once all these devices have been launched.
The material shows a promo that offers a free set of Galaxy Buds+ with purchases of the Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra. The images confirm that the insane Galaxy S20 Ultra will include a 100X “space zoom”, which will be from the telephoto lens seemingly designed like the periscope lens we saw on the Huawei P30 Pro. The Ultra also includes a 108MP main shooter, a first for the company.
Other hardware will be more in line with what we are expecting from other Android flagships in 2020, with the upgraded Snapdragon 865 chipset, 8 or 16GB of RAM and 120Hz high refresh rate displays.
Samsung is hoping that the Galaxy Buds+ become a major player in the wireless headphones market as the plethora of choices have left the original Buds in the wilderness. It hasn’t been completely unsuccessful but not the dominant earbuds they were expecting it to be.
How do you feel about all these leaks? Would you prefer more to be left unknown for the launch events of tech devices?
