Nokia has officially released three new smartphones for the international market; namely, the midrange Nokia 6, Nokia 5, and Nokia 3.
Nokia has long been a brand name that has resonated with the cornerstone words ‘affordable’, ‘slick’, and ‘well-built’, and it’s in that spirit that the brand – under the auspices of HMD Global – has returned to the international market with three new Android devices.
Announced alongside the new Nokia 3310, the trio form the newly-resurgent brand’s first assault upon the marketplace after Microsoft’s disastrous acquisition of – and later split from – the company.

The Nokia 6
The Nokia 6 is the first and foremost device to have been revealed, having been the subject of a Chinese launch earlier this year. The device, which will sell internationally for €229, brings a premium unibody design with a 5.5″ HD display.
Fitted with a Snapdragon 430 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of native storage with a 3,000mAh battery, and rounded out by a 16-megapixel primary and 8-megapixel selfie camera, the Nokia 6 represents – for now – Nokia’s flagship entry in the smartphone market.
The Nokia 5
The Nokia 5 is a more compact version of the Nokia 6, and will hence sell for a lesser €189 internationally in the second quarter of the year. Inside, a Snapdragon 430 powers the show next to 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, and a 3,000mAh battery.
Available in Tempered Blue, Silver, Matte Black and Copper, the Nokia 5 will carry a 13-megapixel primary camera and 8-megapixel secondary camera to complete its loadout, and will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and bear a smaller 5.2 720p display.
The Nokia 3
For everyone else, then, there’s the Nokia 3 – an entry-level Android smartphone that, for now, sits above the resurgent Nokia 3310 on the launch roster.
For €139, the Nokia 3 will arrive with a 1.3Ghz MediaTek quad-core processor alongside 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage – expandable up to 128GB through microSD.
Available in Silver White, Matte Black, Tempered Blue and Copper White, the Nokia 3 will sport front and rear cameras each with an 8-megapixel sensor. A 2,650mAh battery completes the setup, which will appeal to the wallet-conscious.
