This is Nokia's new 3310, and it comes with a claimed 31 days of battery life

Under the auspices of HMD Global, Nokia has revealed its new 3310 handset at MWC which arrives with a claimed 31-day battery life.

Snake is back! No, that’s not the forward of the next Metal Gear Solid title; HMD Global – the firm behind the recent resurgence of the Nokia brand – has launched a revised take on the classic Nokia 3310.
As we reported earlier last week, the new Nokia 3310 arrives with a tweaked design with obvious references to its predecessor, though the device still remains a feature phone.

In terms of specs, the 3310 isn’t a showboat; the device arrives with a piddly 0.016GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB through a MicroSD card. A 2.4″ colour display debuts with a 240 x 320 display with a 167 ppi pixel density.
The device benefits from a 2-megapixel primary camera for moments that can’t go uncaptured, and boasts Bluetooth 3.0 and microUSB support.
Of course, the major talking point of the device is undoubtedly Nokia’s claims of 31-day battery life (in terms of standby time) which amounts to 22.10 hours of talk time. If that wasn’t enough, the 1200mAh battery – as on the original 3310 – is user-replaceable.

The new 3310 runs Nokia’s Series 30+ OS, and will arrive in four colours; yellow, red, black, and silver. While the device will certainly appeal to those who remember the original 3310’s nigh-on indestructible design and endless stamina, it remains to be seen if the modern remake of the device will sell as well as its predecessor.
In a market saturated with low-budget Android smartphones, the new 3310 will have its work cut out for it, especially considering the fact that the device lands without Wi-Fi, it’s camera doesn’t have autofocus, and automatic screen brightness isn’t supported.
