Have you always wanted a lightsaber? Most of the Bandwidth Blog team have grown up wondering just when we’ll see the futuristic technology seen in popular science fiction films become reality. In good news, much of what we’ve grown up being inspired by could be commonplace in the next hundred years!

Our friends at vouchercloud have compiled just about everything you might have wondered about while growing up into one handy infographic, which features some of our favourite science fiction films.
For instance; while we may have to wait another thousand years for the technology seen in the lightsabers of the Star Wars saga to become commonplace (how typical) we might only be ten years away from living aboard starships thanks to the pioneering efforts of firms such as Virgin Galactic or SpaceX.
