Donald Trump might launch his own online video streaming service

Donald Trump is reportedly preparing to return to media with the launch of a video streaming service should his bid for the presidency prove unsuccessful.

“I am the most successful person ever to run for president. Nobody‘s ever been more successful than me. I have the best words. But I also have the best streaming service. Nobody builds streaming services better than me. I build the best product. Nobody can make video like Trump. I‘ve always had people say, ‘Donald, you make the most beautiful videos.’ I have the steadiest cameras. I have a very good brain.” – Donald Trump, probably
It seems that if your bid for the presidency doesn’t quite work out, you go back to what you’re known for doing: media. The Wall Street Journal reports that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is preparing to develop his own online video streaming service.

The Wall Street Journal cites that Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, recently approached investment banker Aryeh Bourkoff to discuss building a new, online subscription video channel that would serve as a launchpad for a cable TV channel. Further, Trump’s team has been alleged to have approached other streaming services to discuss the possibility of Trump becoming part of their offerings.
However, there’s a roadblock in the plan; Bourkoff has apparently declined investing in the project, while Trump himself is apparently “completely focussed on winning the election”.  The presidential candidate rubbished claims that he was planning to launch his own media network last month, leaving the idea up in the air.
Still, it would be an easy avenue for Trump to return to should the entrepreneur lose the election to his rival, Hillary Clinton. Despite the candidate’s string of both failures and successes, one of his most profitable avenues has been his involvement in media; apart from the drama he’s created during his presidential campaign, Trump was of course behind the hit show The Apprentice.
