Samsung has inadvertently leaked its new Chromebook Pro – a premium hybrid laptop that will sport a Galaxy Note 7-esque stylus.
While the Galaxy Note 7 has been wiped from existence, Samsung still believes that its trademark S-Pen has a future; and now we’ve seen that the company’s stylus has found a new home aboard an unlikely product; the premium Chromebook Pro.
Samsung inadvertently revealed the Chromebook Pro on its Korean homepage, where it revealed that the S-Pen – now just referred to as the PEN – will feature aboard its newest hybrid laptop.

Specifications revealed thus far include a hexa-core processor with a dual-core Cortex A72 clocked at 2GHz, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. If you were worried about the usability of the device – which, true to its name, will run Chrome OS – the Chromebook Pro will arrive with the Google Play Store aboard through which consumers will be able to use everyday Android apps.
The Pro will include two USB Type-C ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a single (full) SD card slot. The hybrid’s resolution will sprawl across 2400×1600 pixels on a 12.3″ display.
Samsung’s newest hybrid is certainly a heavy affair; the device will measure in 13.9mm thick and will weigh over 1kg. However, that enables a larger battery which will reportedly last up to 10 hours when fully charged.
The Chromebook Pro will supposedly retail for $499 USD, while a release date is yet to be announced.
