Canadian firm blows the lid off Google's surprise reveal – Meet Pixel and Pixel XL

Google’s upcoming Pixel handset – set to be revealed on October 4th – has been leaked ahead of the event by Canadian carrier Bell.

We’ve known for a while that Google has been hard at work alongside HTC to produce two new handsets, which would be titled Pixel and Pixel XL. Now, Canadian carrier Bell has blown the lid off of Google’s reveal by releasing product images ahead of schedule.
Bell accidentally revealed its Pixel order form, which reveals a high-quality render of the device – while we’ve already seen the device in early leaks, the render confirms that the handset will have all of its physical buttons placed on its right panel as with the Nexus 6P.

The render further confirms the presence of Google’s new Pixel launcher in addition to all-circular icons and redesigned navigation buttons. While the leak doesn’t mention the physical size of either Google’s new handset or its XL brother, earlier leaks have reported that the standard device will arrive in a 5″ form factor while the larger of the two will sit pretty at 5.5″.

Early leaks alleged that the standard Pixel features a Snapdragon 820 processor, an Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 128GB of expandable storage and a 1080 x 1920 screen. A rear 13MP snapper – as well as an 8-megapixel front facing camera – would complete the package.
Other images have shown that the device will include a 3.5mm headphone jack on its top panel, while a solitary USB Type-C port lies on the device‘s bottom edge.
UK website Carphone Warehouse shows that both devices will sport a 3,450mAh battery, while the larger device would accommodate a 2440p display. Both devices would come equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
