WhatsApp has begun testing the ability to send stickers in chats, and has brought several new features to iOS and Android in its latest update.
WhatsApp is certainly having a busy year. Fresh from the introduction of end-to-end encryption and in-app voice messaging, the instant messaging app is already trialling a new feature: the ability to send stickers.
The company announced its intent to test the feature alongside the introduction of rumoured Snapchat-style image editing features, which would include the ability to draw atop images or send doodles on their own.

A new update for WhatsApp has brought a litany of small features to both iOS and Android, which themselves are presently enjoying an update in the form of iOS 10 and Android 7.0 Nougat.
On Android, WhatsApp users running the latest version of the app can now share or forward multiple chats at once, and can now see a preview of frequently contacted recipients when forwarding a message.
That comes in addition to the ability to zoom while recording videos, alongside the introduction of front-facing flash while taking a selfie in the dark.
iOS users receive the same benefits, with the addition of now being able to ask Siri to send a message or make a call.
A widget in iOS 10 now shows a list of recent chats, while a quick-forward button has been introduced on both photos and videos in chats. Just in case you were wondering, you’ll now be able to tap the screen between front and rear cameras in the app while taking a photo or video.
