This pizza box actually doubles as a playable DJ rig

Pizza Hut has unveiled ‘the world’s first playable DJ pizza box’ – a pizza container replete with touch-sensitive decks and a mixer.

If you happened to grow up with spare cardboard boxes, you might have once put together a mock DJ rig in addition to a cardboard castle. Someone at Pizza Hut must have, at least, as the company’s latest offering is a working DJ rig tucked inside a standard pizza box.
Pizza Hut’s latest offering comes as a retort to Dominos Pizza, which recently introduced its own in-house robot which is presently conducting deliveries in Australia.

Pizza Hut has instead decided to give something back to its customers; a standard cardboard container equipped with touch-sensitive decks, a mixer, and controllable buttons.
The battery-powered box, which was designed by Novalia, is capable of connecting to a computer or smartphone through Bluetooth and is compatible with software such as Serato DJ. The unit can be used to scratch, rewind, control pitch and even crossfade.
Doesn’t that sound like the best pizza night ever?
The box will be available at five of Pizza Hut’s 350 restaurants in the United Kingdom. In a video below, DJ Vectra debuts the box and spins a tune of his own:
Pizza Hut’s announcement joins a plethora of other fast food chains making a foray into cardboard gadgets. Earlier this year, McDonalds introduced a foldable Happy Meal box which doubled as a cardboard VR headset. Unsurprisingly, it was officially dubbed a set of ‘Happy Goggles‘.
