New iPhone 7 rumoured to be released the week of September 12th

Some back room rumours and a bit of basic math points to September 16th as D-Day for Apple’s new iPhone 7 range.

As far as rumour sources go, Evan Blass (prominent leaker and VentureBeat reporter) can normally be trusted with a smaller pinch of salt than usual. His latest hunch, whether based on fact or not, is that we can expect the iPhone 7 and its various iterations to be released during the week of September 12th, 2016.

If this proves true and one takes into account that Apple usually does hardware releases on Friday’s we can extrapolate that the new iPhone will arrive on Friday, September 16th 2016. Mr Blass has been a very reliable source over the last couple of years but does have a few blotches to his name (he predicted the iPhone SE would launch alongside the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus).
As we have previously speculated, Apple is largely expected to launch two, or possibly three new iPhones at their September event. We will almost certainly see the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus and maybe the mysterious iPhone 7 Pro might make an appearance. The event will also clear up all the loose ends around the existence of the 3.5mm headphone jack and number of cameras.

Along with these changes, leaks indicate that we will see cleaner, redesigned antenna lines, and base models starting at a more customer-friendly 32GB instead of 16GB. Never will I own a 16GB again!
What are your thoughts on the imminent arrival of the iPhone 7? Has Apple done enough to warrant consumer interest after the iPhone 6 and 6s? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
