Nintendo jumps on the retro-train by unveiling the NES Classic

Everyone’s playing Pokemon, Blink 182 has released an album and Clinton is running for US president. So we should have a NES console, right? Exactly!

Nintendo aims to fuel the fire of the current mini retro revival with news that they are bringing back the NES. They announced recently that they will release the NES Classic Edition, which is a smaller version of the old school 80s console.
The console will connect to your TV via an HDMI cable and will be compatible with Nintendo’s Wii’s Classic Controller Pro although the will also be selling a special controller separately. You can also use the NES Mini controller to play Virtual Console NES games with your Wii or Wii U, by connecting it to the Wii Remote.
