Dell has unveiled a number of enterprise and schooling-centered products at ISTE 2016, including the 70″ touch-enabled Interactive Conference Room Monitor.
Do you remember the days of yesteryear where ideas were expressed either on a blackboard or on paper? We’d forgotten about them too, but Dell has shown the future at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) conference with the 70″ Interactive Conference Room Monitor.
Dell has a history of producing great, affordable displays, yet three new products aimed at learning, classrooms and conference rooms tease just where Dell wants to go.

The 70″ Interactive Conference Room Monitor is Dell’s first interactive touch display, and features a full HD resolution. Aimed at conference rooms, Dell hopes to replace the idea of a projector or smart board altogether with a device you can walk right up and touch.
The Interactive Conference Room Monitor offers two styli, anti-glare and anti-smudge coating (for when spluttering out hot coffee at a ridiculous proposal) and support for clear text. The display further supports 10-point hand touch for those who like to get up close and personal.
Dell further punted the Interactive Conference Room Monitor as being applicable to the classroom, offering that the device encourages not only teachers but students the ability to interact and create.
The company further cites that the series of monitors will ship with ‘multiple ports’ – the nature of which is yet to be disclosed – for connectivity, and will come with the optional capability of wireless connectivity.
The Interactive Conference Room Monitor will begin to sell for $4,999.99 USD upwards, leaving this an expensive – yet rather nifty – proposition for the classroom.
