Apple is once again the world's most valuable company
Not so fast: Just days after Alphabet took the title of most valuable company in the world, Apple has once again reclaimed its throne.
Several days ago, it was announced that Alphabet – the new holding company that owns Google – had overtaken Apple to become the most valuable company in the world. Now, Apple has risen to reclaim the top spot.
Originally, Apple lost out to Alphabet’s latest financial report thanks to low predictions for iPhone sales this financial quarter. However, with the likely impending announcement of an iPhone 5se and iPad Air 3, trust in the company has driven Apple back to the top. While a spat of back-and-forth while likely impact both companies in the day to come, at the time of writing Apple has beaten Google by around $37 billion USD thanks to a stock quote of $96.35 USD, which is up by 2 percent.
