These last couple of weeks seem to be crammed full of Huawei news, and it just keeps coming. The company is definitely on a roll, both financially and in terms of smartphone offerings (they are even now the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world).
That doesn‘t mean their devices are flawless, however. We have bemoaned a couple of parts of their software experience, both in the Mate 7 as well as their successful Huawei P8 flagship. In order to change that, they have now employed a new UX expert, and one that previously worked for Apple.
They have just hires Abigail Brody, and in case you were wondering how important she was to Apple, she spent a decade working for Cupertino as a key player in the design of the original iPhone and OS X. After leaving Apple she spent 4 yours at PayPal, and now it‘s on to the newest adventure.
Huawei‘s current trend in design matched with a coherent user experience could be the knockout punch they need going forward. So this move shows their intent to not remain at number three in the world, they are gunning for that top spot.
