Facebook Messenger arrives for Apple Watch

Ahead of today’s news that the Apple Watch will officially be available for purchase in South Africa before the end of October, consumers will be able to enjoy Facebook chats on Apple’s premium wearable.
Facebook’s Messenger app, which was promised to arrive on the Apple Watch some time ago, is finally available for the smartwatch. However, the app requires users to have updated to watchOS 2; the latest version of Apple’s wearable operating system.

Facebook Messenger moves to wearables

As the Apple Watch’s face is far too small to type on, Messenger for Apple Watch lets users send and receive voice notes, stickers, Likes (or, now, Reactions) as well as emojis and location check-ins.
Additionally, Facebook updated the iOS version of its Messenger service; iPhone and iPad users will  now be able to search Messenger contacts and conversations through Spotlight search. Further, Messenger will now be compatible with the iPad’s newfound multitasking capabilities.
