HP produces a Star Wars themed Pavilion 15

Star Wars fans around the world already have much reason to celebrate over the release of Episode VII: The Force Awakens come this December, and HP has additionally joined the excitement with the release of a Star Wars themed Pavilion Notebook.
HP’s latest version of its 15.6 laptop comes adorned in a special Star Wars skin that’s laden with details both externally and internally.
The special edition notebook comes wrapped with a skin depicting the Empire, Stormtroopers, Aurebesh (the Star Wars alphabet) and even a trackpad reminiscent of the targeting computer found on Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing.

Alas, you won’t be able to turn this off and use the force.
Beyond external features, including a themed backlit keyboard, HP’s laptop will arrive with digital fun as well; the Star Wars Command Center app will allow users to browse a library of behind-the-scenes photos, storyboards, artwork and design documents that span all six films thus far.

Further, the Star Wars edition of the Pavillion 15 will also include a special Windows 10 theme, with accompanying lightsaber and R2-D2 soundsets.
HP’s special skin extends into Windows 10 itself; with Aurebesh pre-loaded as a system font, and the austere recycling bin logo replaced by one of the Death Star to ensure all undesirable files meet with utter destruction.
More generally, the Star Wars Pavilion 15 arrives with a full HD 1080p display, alongside Core i5 or i7 processors and can support up to 12GB of RAM with a 2TB hard drive. Battery life is expected to approximate at seven hours.

HP will sell the Star Wars Special Edition Pavilion 15 in November this year from select retailers, and will retail for $699. A far less fun standard version will retail for $549. Users who purchase the Star Wars version will also receive a one-year membership to indie film library Fandor, valued at $90.
