The leaked sources are still wondering exactly what the numbering of the Lumia flagship will be, but whether we are looking at the 940 or 950 everyone can agree that the new smartphone is definitely on its way. The most concrete rumors surrounding the flagship Lumia include hardware like the Snapdragon 808 or 810 SoCs, quad HD displays, and 3GB of RAM, a fresh leak attempts to give us maybe the best glimpse yet at one of these handsets, upon the publication of some new images of a Lumia 950 XL prototype.
As with many prototypes the shell doesn’t give away any of the upcoming design language, but the leaked images does reveal some details such as the inclusion of a USB type-C connector. These leaked images also include screenshots that reveals some of the hardware stats, confirming earlier rumors about RAM capacity and SoC choice. Really, that tells us quite a bit about how the phone‘s put together, leaving only a few details unaddressed ““ like battery capacity.
Impressions around the web seems to think that these images are the real deal and accurately depict the 950XL. Specifics around launch dates are not yet known but most would indicate a late Q4 or Q1 2016 release.
