We have heard a lot of hype from Pebble regarding a new smartwatch they will reveal today, February 25th. According to sources, it will be their first wearable with a colour screen. We aren‘t expecting it to have an IPS or LCD, though, as they have noted that it will retain its stellar battery life.
The company may have inadvertently let the cat out of the bag a little early. The image you see above was posted on their website for a while, but has been removed and replaced with the below image of an actual pebble.
The new pebble appears to be wider and more rounded, but is still mostly built out of plastic and rubber. We have no idea about the internals, but will be looking on with interest to see how Pebble tends to compete with the large electronics companies in the years to come.
