Netflix bringing ‘Daredevil’ to the small screen

The hugely popular video streaming service, Netflix, is continuously pushing to become the main provider of entertainment in households around the world, both on TV sets and your mobile devices. Their strategy to achieve this is quite simple ““ offer great content, both from other sources and more recently, original content.
House of Cards is a series created by Netflix and is the first non-conventional television show to have won an Emmy Award. They have recently vowed to bring 20 original series to their offering by the end of 2016. In April of this year comic book fans have something to look forward to ““ Daredevil.
Charlie Cox stars in the series as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, joined by Rosario Dawson, Vincent D‘Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson. The producers of the show are calling it “˜one big movie‘ and gave the following synopsis:
Blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the Super Hero “œDaredevil“ in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.
With internet connections in South Africa become faster and much more reliable, we do hope Netflix becomes available on our shores as well. There are some great things coming from the American company.
