Microsoft's 'Build 2014' sells out on Windows 9 anticipation.

In a world where many countries are getting to grips with Windows XP or Vista, Microsoft are already hard at work developing their latest OS. Windows 9 is only expected to make its appearance in 2015 but a lot of development has already been completed. Microsoft opened up registration for its annual “Build” conference 2 days ago on the 14th of January. It took a mere 24h for all the tickets to be sold out. The great interest of this year’s events is sure to be details and vision of Microsoft’s new OS, Windows 9. As with any huge software update a lot of rumors have been dong the rounds regarding Windows 9. Many people think that Microsoft are planning the return of the “Start Menu” and a more integrated tile system with the original desktop.
The annual Build conference, to be held in San Francisco’s Moscone Center between the 2nd and 4th of April, will mainly focus on the imminent Windows Phone 8.1 release. It also sounds like Microsoft will use Build 2014 as a launch point for its vision of Windows 9. This presentation will most likely include the design vision as well as some marketing theatrics to build excitement and buy-in for the 2015 release. The Verge reported that the size and scope of this year’s Build conference will likely be comparable to last years’ edition. Over 6000 developers attended Build 2013 last year and a seat at this year’s conference is highly prized among the developing community.
