Porsche Design has had some ostentatious ideas in the past to bring products to market that have nothing to with cars, but this is simply outrageous in my opinion. They have combined with BlackBerry to bring a modified version of the Z10 to market. Called the P’9982, Porsche Design’s take on the Z10 is crafted from stainless steel and Italian leather, and comes with a “unique” BBM PIN that makes users of the smartphone “instantly recognizable.”
It comes with a storage bump when compared to the standard Z10, a full 64 GB. Apart from the cosmetic differences and the storage, the P’9882 appears identical in hardware to the BlackBerry Z10, which didn’t selling well, frankly. It has the same 1280 x 768 display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and BlackBerry’s BB10 operating system.
So, let‘s get to the crazy part – the price. The P’9982 will debut in London’s famous Harrods department store for “around £1,500”, although exact release information has yet to be released.
