Samsung‘s CEO has made an interesting announcement, telling media that the electronics giant will bring devices with fully fold-able displays to market in 2015. The screen tech (which we’ve seen an incremental nudge towards with the Galaxy Round) could find its way into both typical smart devices like tablets and smartphones as well as wearables.
Interestingly the CEO, Kwon Oh Hyun, added that there is still plenty of “œroom for improvement“ in the Galaxy Gear after the device has been hit with some damning reviews, many calling is Samsung‘s “œworst product.“
What exactly is possible with this technology is still largely unknown, with the respective companies working on the concept still keeping mum on their plans. It is clear that Samsung is still some way from attaining the features shown in their promo video below:
