Confirmed: iPhone 5S & 5C to launch in SA November 15th

Last week we reported on a rumour that the iPhone 5S and 5C is to be officially launched on South African shores on November 15th.
As it turns out, that rumour has been confirmed and South Africans will be able to get their hands on the latest iPhone models from the 15th.
On Saturday, November 2nd, cellular giant Vodacom released a statement saying that they will be offering iPhone 5S and 5C models as of November 15th.
MTN, Vodacom‘s biggest competition, also released a statement today saying they will offer the new iPhone models from the 15th as well.
MTN also revealed their heavily reduced prices for older iPhone models – the iPhone 4 and 4S.
The prices were listed on MTN‘s website and seems to be significantly cheaper than they were a few months ago.
With a free MTN starter pack, on prepaid, a 32GB iPhone 4 will now set you back a mere R1499. While a 16GB iPhone 4S will cost you R1999 and the 64GB iPhone 4S is priced at R2999.
However, if you have your eye in the new iPhone 5S or 5C, you will have to pre-register on either Vodacom or MTN‘s websites. Alternatively, you can also  pre-register on the iStore South Africa website or Cellucity.
No word yet on what the different cellular outlets wil b charging for the new models. However, if you pre-register, they are sure to send you a price.
The iPhone 5S and 5C was launched on September 10th, and, according to Apple, have done pretty well sales wise globally.
