Buy a bit of Apple History

Are you the ultimate Apple fanboy? Do you already own a Macbook, iPhone, iPad, iPod and every other Apple gadget on the market? And more importantly, are you rolling in dough with nothing to do with it? Well, then this is your lucky day“¦
Sotheby‘s auction house will be putting on auction an original piece of the company‘s history, a working Apple I computer. This computer is the original design and was built by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak in 1976, by hand. There were only 200 of these iconic computers manufactured back in the day. So it comes as no surprise that any prospective buyer better be ready to lay down a lot of money for it.
According to Sotheby‘s, it is expected to fetch between $140,000 and $180,000. With a purchase of that magnitude, you get a mobo, cassette interface and the original BASIC manual, so that any techno junkie can start programming on it and “˜Be like Steve‘.

As you can see from the pictures, Steve may not always have had such a keen eye for design, wanting to perfect the inner workings first. It is astonishing to think where Apple has gone from such humble beginnings, now to the world‘s highest valued company.
