Horizon Media, the largest independent media services company in the U.S. has recently opened its new New York City offices to accommodate all of its employees that were previously spread out in three different buildings. The new space, designed by New York’s own a+i Architecture takes up 115, 000 square feet on the 14th , 15th and 16th floor at 1 Hudson square with 360 degree views and high ceilings.
To emphasise the grandeur of the building, a+i created a wide staircase between all three floors which aims to expose the space to natural light and encourages greater interaction and vision between staff. The space offers a number of huddle rooms, screening rooms and flexible spaces that have the latest technology to enable interaction, brainstorming, presentations and video conferencing. The hard polished concrete and stark white walls are balanced by maple verneer wood features, natural colours and orange and blue furniture pieces.
