Hands up anyone who has seen this? It seems Google is trying out this new innovative “preview” function of seeing through to your search results, which also highlights the text within the preview. A few people have noticed this on twitter, yet we are still unable to see what the basis is for someone who gets chosen to be part of this test phase. The few times we did notice it we were running Firefox, so its clearly not a Google Chrome only feature.
This not the same as the “Page Previews” function which is included on the left hand hand search options – this new version seems to detail more parts of the page. One small thing which might give Google some problems though – how will website owners feel when they do not get clickthroughs to their site?
